What Do We Paint?
Party participants have the choice from our well-stocked studio of pieces they would like to paint. We have a vast range and something to suit all ages and tastes. You can paint your own mug, plate, jug, vase, trinket pot, the list goes on.
Once you have painted your piece, you leave it with us to glaze and fire, and then it is ready to pick up again in about 14 days. Your pottery pieces will be permanent and completely food and drink safe.
Hen Party Ideas
One of the highlights of holding your hen party at Crafty Monkey is the opportunity to create a personalised keepsake for the bride. Guests can contribute to a collaborative piece, such as a signature plate or a set of hand-painted tiles, featuring their names and heartfelt messages. Flexible Booking Options
You can book your hen party during our normal opening hours, or for an additional fee, you can reserve the studio for a private session outside of regular hours. This option allows you to bring your own alcohol and glasses, making it easy to add a personal touch to your celebration. Feel free to decorate the space to suit your party theme and create the perfect festive atmosphere.
And if you can't get everyone in the studio at a time to suit, we also do pottery painting kits as a 'take out' option. You can purchase everything you need for a paint at home (or any other venue) party in our online shop. As well as the items of pottery that you would like your attendees to paint. You will also need to purchase our paints (underglazes).
You may also wish to purchase other items to go with these such as brushes or a writer / details pen.
Practical Considerations
Please note that we do not allow food in the studio, as grease and glaze do not mix well. However, we offer a selection of soft drinks to keep you refreshed during your session. If you’d like to include food in your celebrations, you can enjoy a meal at one of the many local restaurants before or after your studio time. We are right in the heart of St Neots town, so there are lots of options within a short walk from our studio.
