FAQ'S

How much does it cost?

Click to see our price list.

Will my piece be food and dishwasher safe and can I put it in the oven?

Yes, all pottery can be used to eat from and, while we say they are not dishwasher safe, if you mistakenly pop it in it will be fine. However, we do not recommend that you put your pottery in the oven.

How long does it take to paint?

It depends on you! Most older children and adults spend between an hour or two painting their piece but young children tend to have a shorter attention span and may only be 30-45 minutes.  If nobody is booked after your appointment then we are happy for you to stay until you are finished but if we need your table at the end of your session you may need to come back another time to finish it off.

Can I bring in my own food and drink?

Please do not consume food and drinks not bought on our premises.  We currently only sell cold drinks.

You are welcome to bring your own birthday cake to cut and give out, but please do not eat in the studio. Adult parties, such as Hen Parties are welcome to bring alcohol.

Do I need a reservation?

Yes it is essential you book in advance using our online booking system.

How long until I can pick up my piece?

It generally takes ten days for us to glaze and fire your item.  It is usually possible to offer a speedy service for an extra fee of £3, which means your pottery can be ready within three to five days.

How old do I need to be?

There are no age requirements although children need accompanying by an adult. Everyone is welcome. You can be young, old, or in between! Parents or grandparents can bring in the little ones to do footprints or handprints (these make wonderful gifts or mementos!). Young children love to express their artistic talent and we have plenty of pieces that children like to paint and many suited to adults.

I'm not artistic and have never painted before so can I still do this?

Definitely. You do not have to be artistic to paint, a lot of the pottery has a design on it and our friendly staff will be happy to help and advise you.
