Take part in our fun, creative slab pot hand building pottery class at Crafty Monkey Studio, St Neots, where you'll learn pottery techniques and sculpt a versatile pot that can be functional or decorative. We'll guide you step by step through the basics, from kneading and rolling out clay to shaping and joining pieces using the slab building method. You'll have the freedom to customise your pot with textures, carvings, stamps and colours. What can I make at this pottery class? • An animal planter, add ears, tails and paws for a quirky character • A slab pot mug or jug, add a handle and texture for the ultimate coffee cup • A decorative lantern, using cut out techniques for a glowing tealight holder • A pot head planter, add eyes, ears, a nose and even glasses • Our popular boob pot, a body positive planter for your succulents • A botanical pot or lantern, using our stamps and cutters, or bring your own dried flowers to press into the clay • A classic pot, perfect for pens, toothbrushes or a stylish desk tidy Is glazing and firing included in this pottery class? Yes, after making and painting, you will leave your make with us. After the drying period we clear glaze and kiln fire it for you. Who is this pottery class for? Whether you're a complete beginner or have some pottery experience, this class is designed to accommodate and inspire everyone. Perfect for adults and creative kids aged 8 and over (under 10s need a paying, participating adult with them). When will my pottery be ready? Terms & Cancellation Policy
By proceeding with the booking, it is understood that all parties in the reservation have accepted these terms. Drying and Firing Process: Items need leaving with us to dry before we can fire them. We will email you when your piece is ready for collection. This process typically takes 4-5 weeks. Pottery Making Risks: Due to the nature of hand-building with clay, issues can arise during the making, drying, and firing processes that could affect your piece. By following our guidance, you can greatly minimise these risks. If problems do occur, we will attempt to fix them, but it may not be possible.
