Crafty Monkey Opening Hours When is Crafty Monkey Open? We love helping you get creative, whether you’re painting pottery, hand‑building clay, or joining one of our workshops. To make sure you can plan your visit with ease, see our current opening times and special opening hours. Booking Your Visit We’re a busy little studio, so we recommend booking ahead to secure your spot – especially at weekends and during holidays. We also occasionally close the studio for off-site events, group bookings or private parties. You can view availability and book online quickly and easily your preferred session directly on our Booking Page . Even if it's just before making your way down. It’s important to select the correct session type, as some activities are only available at specific times. Also, for baby print sessions, if you want to do the artwork after we've taken the prints, book a session that allows enough time before we close. Why do you limit availability for print sessions at weekends and in holidays? To ensure we can get the best baby print as possible, these sessions require a little extra time, a calm environment, and a specially trained member of our team. Because our studio is often bustling with painters during weekends and school holidays, we schedule print sessions during quieter mid-week times. This allows us to give you and your baby our full, undivided attention without the rush. We do however offer a couple of sessions on a weekend as we understand sometimes you would like to add other children's prints too who are at school mid-week. Please be aware these sessions may not be as relaxed as during the week. Can you do the writing and designs for me? We certainly can! Many parents get us to decorate and add the "Crafty Monkey Touch." You choose the colors and the character (like a penguin, elephant, or reindeer), and our artists can add the names, dates, and extra details for you for a personalisation fee. Is there a studio fee for babies? At Crafty Monkey, we have a standard studio fee of £4.50 per painter plus the cost of the pottery item you choose. This covers the use of underglaze paints, clear glazing and firing. For baby print sessions, if you have more than one baby or child doing prints we just charge one studio fee for the print session. This includes you decorating the piece. If combining the print session with a pottery painting session, each painter will be charged a studio fee. Prints are included in the studio fee. While we will provide this this service, please note the following terms and conditions: 1. Packaging and Responsibility 1.1. We are committed to being as sustainable as possible and recycle packaging we receive our stock in. 1.2. We take care in packaging your pottery to ensure it is well-protected during transit. However, once your item leaves our studio, we cannot take responsibility for any damage, loss, or delays that may occur during shipping. 1.3. Unfortunately, pottery is not an item you can insure we are unable to offer insurance for pottery items, and any damage that occurs in transit will not be covered by Crafty Monkey Studio. 2. Delivery Timings 2.1. The time it takes for us to post your item will depend on how busy we are at the studio. During peak times, such as holidays or event periods, there may be a delay in processing your delivery. 2.2. Opting for delivery will likely extend the time it takes for you to receive your pottery, as priority is given to in-studio operations. 3. Delivery Costs 3.1. The cost of postage and packaging will be added to your final bill and must be paid before your item is posted. The exact cost will depend on the size and weight of your item. 3.2. If purchasing postage at the time of creating your piece we will estimate the size of box we will need to use which is related to the cost of postage you will be charged. If at the time of posting we feel it needs to be sent in a bigger box to allow for adequate packaging for the safety of your item, we will send you a payment link for you to pay the difference. 3.3. If purchasing items online and you select for it to be posted, 4. Postage Delays and Issues 4.1. While we will do our best to dispatch your item as soon as possible, we cannot guarantee delivery times once your item is with the postal service. 4.2. General Policy Payment & Booking: Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your space. Bookings are on a first-come, first-served basis and places are limited. Cancellations & Rescheduling : If you’re unable to attend, please read below and contact us at your earliest convenience by email . If we are not notified and you fail to attend your booking will be treated as a no-show. Credit: Any credit given will depend on the notice period provided before the event or workshop start date - see below. Credit can be used against other services we provide. 2. Cancellation Deadlines More than 21 days before the start date: Full refund minus a £5 admin fee or 100% credit can be applied as credit to your account to be used at a later date. More than 14 days before the start date: 75% credit can be applied as credit to your account to be used at a later date. 7 to 14 days before the start date: No refund but we can apply 50% as credit to your account. Less than 7 days before the start date: No refund will be provided but 50% of total you paid can be applied as credit on your account minus a £5 admin fee. Rescheduling More than 21 days before the start date: Participants may reschedule to another event of equal value without an additional fee. You can do this online or email us. Less than 21 days before the start date: Rescheduling is subject to our discretion and may be possible if we have a wait list and/or can fill your space. It may incur a £5 admin fee 4. No-Show Policy Participants who do not turn up for their scheduled event without prior notification will forfeit their fee. 5. Special Circumstances In cases of emergency or illness, please contact us as soon as possible. We may offer a one-time reschedule to a future event or workshop at our discretion or apply a credit to your account. 6. Cancellation by Us We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule events due to low numbers, staff illness, or other unforeseen circumstances. In the event we need to cancel a class or workshop, participants will be offered a full refund or the option to transfer to another event of equal value. 7.
