  • Dog Paw Imprints & Outprints

Book a session to capture your dog's paw in clay at Crafty Monkey Studio in St Neots. Choose a pressed imprint or a raised plaster outprint, and we'll take the clay impression, decorate it and finish it for you. What's the difference between a paw imprint and an outprint? • Paw Imprints: we press your dog's paws directly into clay. After a drying period we fire the piece, decorate it, then clear glaze and fire it again, leaving a soft, sunken pawprint • Paw Outprints: we press the paws into clay to create a mould, then cast a raised pawprint in plaster. We decorate it to your specification and present it in a frame with a plaque Both are finished in your choice of colours and are framed with a plaque. Or if making imprints, you can opt for unframed. How much do dog paw imprints and outprints cost?. • Framed: £75 • Unframed: £55 (imprints only) Is my dog suitable for a paw imprint or outprint? Your dog needs to be relaxed about a stranger holding their paw, because we press it firmly into the clay to get a clean impression. A quick trim of the hair between the pads before you come makes a real difference to the detail we capture, and all dogs must be up to date with their vaccinations. We're a team of dog lovers so your dog's comfort always comes first, and if our team feels unsafe or the dog isn't happy we may need to stop. Can you take an imprint if my dog has passed away? Unfortunately not. Imprints and outprints have to be taken from your dog here in the studio. What we can offer instead is a take out kit, so you can capture the prints on pottery at home. We'll talk you through how to get the best result when you collect the kit, and we can tidy the prints up for you afterwards. What other dog paw print services do you offer? • Paw Prints on Pottery: your dog's print onto a ceramic piece you'll use or display, like a coaster, mug, bauble or pet bowl. • 3D Dog Paw Casting: your dog's paw preserved in three dimensions, framed or on a plinth When will my keepsake be ready? Clay imprints and plaster outprints need to dry fully before we can process and finish them, so please allow 4 to 5 weeks. We'll email you with a link to book a pick up slot when it's ready. A framed clay paw imprint is a heartfelt thing to give a dog lover. Gift cards and gift vouchers are available if you'd rather let them choose. Book your dog paw imprint or outprint session online at Crafty Monkey Studio, St Neots.

  • 3D Paw Print Casting

A 3D paw cast is the kind of keepsake you'll treasure for years to come. Every pad, claw and bit of fur texture is preserved exactly as it is today. What's included in a 3D dog paw casting session? • We make a mould of your dog's paw at our St Neots studio using non toxic alginate, the same compound used to take casts of your teeth at the dentist • We use good quality stone plaster to make the cast and leave it to dry. • Professional finishing and mounting, either in a frame or on a plinth Can you cast my hand holding my dog's paw? Yes, and it's a popular option. How much does a 3D dog paw casting cost? From £125. The price depends on the size of your dog and whether you'd like a single paw or your hand holding their paw, and whether it's framed or mounted on a plinth. Please note framing depends on the size of your dog's paw. Will my dog be happy having a paw cast? Casting takes a little longer than a pawprint, so your dog needs to be well behaved and content to have their paw held by someone they've not met before. Please trim the hair between their pads before your session, and make sure vaccinations are up to date. We're all dog lovers here and we'll never push a dog that isn't enjoying it, so we do reserve the right not to go ahead if our team feels unsafe. Can you take a cast if my dog has passed away? Sadly not. A cast has to be taken from your dog in person. The one thing we can offer is a take out kit, so you can capture the prints yourself at home onto pottery. We'll explain you how to get the best print when you collect the kit, and we can tidy them up for you afterwards. What other dog paw print services do you offer? • Paw Prints on Pottery: your dog's print onto a ceramic piece you'll use or display, like a coaster, mug, bauble, pet bowl, plate or trinket dish • Paw Imprints: your dog's paws pressed into clay. After a drying period we fire, decorate, then clear glaze and fire again. Framed or unframed • Paw Outprints: we press the paws into clay to create a mould, then cast a raised pawprint in plaster, decorate it to your specification and present it framed with a plaque When will my paw cast be ready? Casts need to dry fully before we finish and mount them, so please allow up to 5 weeks. We'll email you when yours is ready to collect. If you want to go all out for the dog lover in your life, this is the one. Gift cards and gift vouchers are available too. • Dog Paw Prints on Pottery

Book a dog paw print session and we'll capture your dog's pawprint onto pottery at Crafty Monkey Studio in St Neots. Choose from coasters, baubles, pet bowls, mugs, plates, trinket dishes, plaques and more, then personalise it or get us to decorate. We love dogs at Crafty Monkey and know pets are part of the family. We've had plenty of dogs through the studio over the years, and we treat every paw print like it's our own pet's. Getting a good paw print isn't an exact science. Some dogs take it completely in their stride, others are less keen, and we can't promise a perfect print every time. We'll work with your dog on the day to get the best we possibly can. What do I need to know before bringing my dog? • Your dog needs to be well behaved and happy for one of our team, someone they've never met, to handle their paws • Please trim the hair between the pads beforehand, it makes for a much cleaner pawprint • Dogs must be up to date with their vaccinations • Your dog's comfort comes first, so we do reserve the right not to go ahead if our team feels unsafe or if your dog gets too stressed by the process. What happens in a dog paw print session? • You choose your ceramic piece from our range • We get your dog's paw print onto the pottery • You can decorate it yourself in the studio, or we can decorate it for you for an extra fee • We glaze and kiln fire, then email you when it's ready to collect Can I still get a pawprint if my dog has passed away? We're so sorry. We can't take prints here in the studio, but we do offer take out kits so you can capture the prints at home in your own time. When you collect the kit we'll talk you through how to get the best result, and once you bring it back we can tidy the prints up before glazing and firing. What other dog paw print services do you offer? • Paw Imprints: your dog's paws pressed into clay. After a drying period we fire, decorate, then clear glaze and fire again. Framed or unframed • Paw Outprints: we press the paws into clay to create a mould, then cast a raised pawprint in plaster, decorate it to your specification and present it framed with a plaque • 3D Dog Paw Casting: your dog's paw preserved in three dimensions, framed or on a plinth When will my pottery be ready?
