Depending on the pottery class, you'll gain a basic understanding of pottery techniques such as wedging, slip and scoring, coiling, slab building, pinch pots. Also, learn how to use cutters, stamps and pottery tools to sculp clay.
Our ceramic classes are designed to be hands-on and interactive, providing you with the knowledge and techniques you need to create beautiful ceramic piece from scratch.
Our self-led hand-building with clay sessions are similar to our pottery painting sessions and available to book online. You're free to make what you wish - within reason.
These sessions are perfect if you have prior experience of working with clay (you don’t need a lot) or have attended one of our other instructor-led pottery classes and have an idea of what you want to make. You can also apply coloured underglazes during this session. You will have 1 hour 45 minutes however if we are not busy you may have longer.
Introduction to Hand-Building Pottery Class: Learn the basics of working with clay, including pinching, coiling, and slab building techniques. Great for beginners and you get to make a piece using the method of choice.
