Our "Pot Heads" pottery make is the ultimate for anyone who loves quirky home decor and characterful crafts. Forget standard pots - this project is all about sculpting a unique, "living" character from clay to house your favourite greenery or bits and bobs
The "Pot Head" Process
You'll be taught the slab-building technique and be given step-by-step instructions to build and create the founation pot. Once your base structure is ready, we’ll guide you through the fun part: adding 3D features like big noses, expressive eyes, bushy eyebrows, or even a cheeky tongue. While others on the class might be making other projects, you’ll be focused on giving your new "Pot Head" a soul.
Paint A Personality
Once your character is sculpted, you’ll use our vibrant underglaze paints to bring them to life. Go for realistic skin tones, wild patterns, or a bright pop of colour - the only limit is your imagination!
What You’ll Create
A Bespoke "Pot Head" Planter: A fully hand-built ceramic head, sized perfectly for succulents, cacti, or "hair-like" spider plants.
Hand-Sculpted Features: Learn how to join clay "attachments" securely using the score and slip technique so your Pot Head’s nose doesn't fall off in the kiln!
Personalised Finish: Use textures and underglazes to make your character truly one-of-a-kind.
What Core Pottery Class Should I Book?
You can make this project by booking onto either our Slab Pot or Intro to Hand-Building Pottery Class. Others on the class may be making other projects but most will start with the same slab pot as the foundation structure.

During this class, some participants may be working on body-positive projects, such as "Boob Pots." We leave it to the discretion of parents/guardians to decide if this environment is appropriate for their children.
