Crafty Monkey Pottery Studio's opening hours can vary, especially during school holidays and around Christmas. For the most up-to-date information on opening hours, please visit our opening hours page or head to our booking page to book a session which will show you our availability. Do I need to book in advance? Yes, we ask you book online in advance as we can get fully booked and we only offer some sessions at certain days or times of the day. You can however reschedule most sessions and you can book last minute just before you come. It's also important you book the right appointment for what you want to do. See our online booking system. Can I bring food and drink into Crafty Monkey? We do not allow you to bring and consume your own food and drink on our premises—except for alcoholic drinks on our Sip and Paint Pottery Nights, Event Nights, Hen Party, and Adult Party bookings. Residue from food on your hands can cause issues with your pottery item. It can leave dark patches on the surface once the pottery has been fired, and can also act as a resistance to the glaze, leaving patches unglazed. You can also bring a birthday cake if you have booked a Kids Party with us to sing 'Happy Birthday' and blow out candles but this can't be eaten in the studio. 🎨Will I get to use underglazes on my piece? Pottery Care Instructions How to Care for Your Hand Painted Ceramics Thank you for choosing to paint ceramics at Crafty Monkey Pottery Painting Studio! To ensure your beautiful piece remains in optimum condition, please follow the care instructions below. By following these guidelines, you can keep your hand-painted ceramics looking beautiful and vibrant for years to come. If you have further questions about caring for your pottery, feel free to contact us. General Care Handle with Care: Treat your ceramic piece gently to avoid chips or cracks. Avoid dropping or banging it against hard surfaces. Temperature Changes: Avoid exposing your pottery to sudden temperature changes as this can cause thermal shock crazing and cracking. How Do I Clean My Pottery? Hand Washing: For best results, always hand wash your ceramic items and don't submerge your piece into water for a long period of time. Use warm water and mild dish soap with a soft sponge or cloth. Rinse thoroughly and dry with a soft towel. Avoid Abrasives: Do not use abrasive scrubbers or harsh cleaning agents as they can damage the painted surface. Dishwasher: While putting it in the dishwasher now and again won't necessarily damage it, over time it will wear a lot quicker and we recommend hand washing to preserve the hand-painted design and ensure the longevity of your pottery. Using Your Hand-Painted Pottery Can I use my pottery in the microwave? We don't recommend putting your pottery in the microwave. Is it safe to put my pottery in the oven? Hand-painted ceramics should not be used in the oven. Is it OK to put my pottery in the freezer? Do not place your ceramic items directly in the freezer, as extreme cold can cause cracking. If you need to chill a piece, allow it to reach room temperature before refrigerating. Displaying Your Ceramics Sunlight Exposure: Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight can cause colors to fade. Display your ceramics away from strong sunlight to maintain their vibrant appearance. Surface Protection: Use felt pads or coasters under your pottery to prevent scratches on your furniture.

If you would like your items posted please be aware of our delivery policy should something happen in transit. Back Next Delivery Policy At Crafty Monkey, we understand that you may want your finished pottery delivered to you. While we will provide this this service, please note the following terms and conditions: 1. Packaging and Responsibility 1.1. We are committed to being as sustainable as possible and recycle packaging we receive our stock in. 1.2. We take care in packaging your pottery to ensure it is well-protected during transit. However, once your item leaves our studio, we cannot take responsibility for any damage, loss, or delays that may occur during shipping. 1.3. Unfortunately, pottery is not an item you can insure we are unable to offer insurance for pottery items, and any damage that occurs in transit will not be covered by Crafty Monkey Studio. 2. Delivery Timings 2.1. The time it takes for us to post your item will depend on how busy we are at the studio. During peak times, such as holidays or event periods, there may be a delay in processing your delivery. 2.2. Opting for delivery will likely extend the time it takes for you to receive your pottery, as priority is given to in-studio operations. 3. Delivery Costs 3.1. The cost of postage and packaging will be added to your final bill and must be paid before your item is posted. The exact cost will depend on the size and weight of your item. 3.2. If purchasing postage at the time of creating your piece we will estimate the size of box we will need to use which is related to the cost of postage you will be charged. If at the time of posting we feel it needs to be sent in a bigger box to allow for adequate packaging for the safety of your item, we will send you a payment link for you to pay the difference. 3.3. If purchasing items online and you select for it to be posted, 4. Postage Delays and Issues 4.1. While we will do our best to dispatch your item as soon as possible, we cannot guarantee delivery times once your item is with the postal service. 4.2. Any delays caused by the postal service are beyond our control, and we cannot offer refunds or compensation for late deliveries. 5. Collection Option 5.1. To avoid potential risks associated with delivery, we recommend collecting your pottery in person from our studio. Our Events Cancellation Policy sets out timelines to cancel or reschedule. Back Next Events Cancellation Policy 1. General Policy Payment & Booking: Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your space. Bookings are on a first-come, first-served basis and places are limited. Cancellations & Rescheduling : If you’re unable to attend, please read below and contact us at your earliest convenience by email . If we are not notified and you fail to attend your booking will be treated as a no-show. Credit: Any credit given will depend on the notice period provided before the event or workshop start date - see below. Credit can be used against other services we provide. 2. Cancellation Deadlines More than 21 days before the start date: Full refund minus a £5 admin fee or 100% credit can be applied as credit to your account to be used at a later date. More than 14 days before the start date: 75% credit can be applied as credit to your account to be used at a later date. 7 to 14 days before the start date: No refund but we can apply 50% as credit to your account. Less than 7 days before the start date: No refund will be provided but 50% of total you paid can be applied as credit on your account minus a £5 admin fee. Rescheduling More than 21 days before the start date: Participants may reschedule to another event of equal value without an additional fee. You can do this online or email us. Less than 21 days before the start date: Rescheduling is subject to our discretion and may be possible if we have a wait list and/or can fill your space. It may incur a £5 admin fee 4. No-Show Policy Participants who do not turn up for their scheduled event without prior notification will forfeit their fee. 5. Special Circumstances In cases of emergency or illness, please contact us as soon as possible. We may offer a one-time reschedule to a future event or workshop at our discretion or apply a credit to your account. 6. Cancellation by Us We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule events due to low numbers, staff illness, or other unforeseen circumstances. In the event we need to cancel a class or workshop, participants will be offered a full refund or the option to transfer to another event of equal value. 7.
