DECOUPAGE Decoupage: Welcome Funky 'Rip n Stick' Crafting Fun Decoupage is the funky 'paint-without-paint' papercraft, a highly effective and addictive method of transforming pretty much anything and great for upcycling old things! It's great for people who do not feel brave enough to paint but would still like to create something special. It's also great for a crafty adult party or a hen do. We stock a range of papers including Decopatch and Viva Gade. We also have a range of decoupage varnishes and items that you can purchase online. ​ Choose the item you wish to decorate from our extensive range of bisque and wooden boxes. Then choose the paper which is available in a range of colours and patterns. Or you could just buy our papers and glue and decoupage items around the house. FOAM CLAY Tactile fun! Our foam clay activity is extremely popular and an exciting way of decorating items. It's fun for all ages - from as young as two years old (with assistance) to adults. It's also non toxic and does not make a mess. ​ Foam clay is a modelling clay made of small beads of clay and coated with colour, it's sticky to the touch and can be applied to all sorts of materials including our pottery shapes and our decoupage pieces by pressing the foam clay onto the object and then using your fingers to spread it out. Items take around three hours to dry out and harden, however they can be taken away with you and left to dry out at home making it the perfect activity if you want to make and take. ​ We have a selection of very bright colours waiting for you to get creative by sticking it on an item! SILVERPRINT JEWELLERY Precious keepsakes! Our Silverprint products are a special and unique way to capture your loved one's handprint, footprint, your dog's pawprints or even your child's drawing! We have so many products to choose from including jewellery, keyrings and cufflinks which make a special personalised gift - especially perfect for Mothers Day and Fathers Day . ​ We can also make them as a keepsake for a loved one who has passed away - all we need is a photograph of their hand or the undertakers can use our special print kits. Wear it Pink Boobie Night For Breast Cancer Awareness! A big thanks to everyone who joined us for our boobie night in October to help raise money and awareness for Breast Cancer Month . Your presence and generosity made the evening truly a night to remember. We are absolutely thrilled to announce that, thanks to your support, we successfully raised £300 which has been donated to Breast Cancer Now. Please keep an eye on our social media platforms and events page because we are excited to share that we're planning another event later in 2024, and we hope to see you all there. So what did we get up to? Well that would be telling now wouldn't it! OK so there was... ​ 1) Molding boobs in clay to make very popular boob pots 2) Painting the trending boob design on pottery 3) Getting the 'bad boys' out and doing a boob print onto pottery (don't worry if you are thinking of joining us on the next one, everyone did their own prints in a private space) 4) we had a raffle with some boobilicious boobie prizes 5) Pink fizz and giggles ​ Jessica Rabbit Boob Print Mushroom boob prints with fairies sat on top of them. KIDS PARTIES! Childrens Parties: Image Both children and parents love Crafty Monkey birthday parties - children love them because they are a lot of fun, parents love them because the children are entertained, happy and stress free! What's more the children get to create something they can keep so no party bags are needed! ​ Our designated party area seats up to 12 children (14 at a push if they are small). If you have more attendees, we may need to seat some in the studio or need to book the whole studio out to accommodate it or hold it outside opening hours (opening fee will apply) or we also now do Take Out Home Party Kits where you can host the party at home or a venue of your choice! If you choose to do pottery painting then you would need to drop the painted pottery back to us to be glazed and fired. You will have the party area for 1 hour 30 minutes. Younger children (4-5 year olds) are likely to finish much earlier than this so it's advised to put pick up after 1 hour to 1hour 15 mins. Due to limited space the number of parents/helpers are limited to 2 people and parents can drop off their children at the door and wait outside when they come to collect. Unfortunately, we no longer offer party food and we do not allow you to bring your own food or drink to the party. You may bring a Birthday Cake to cut up and pop into their party bags if you are providing them, but this is not allowed to be eaten in the studio. Minimum group size 8 for our party packages. If you want a smaller affair to celebrate a childs birthday then you can just book a pottery painting, build a bear or foam clay session in our studio for your group size, however you will not have access to our party animal range and the prices below are for a minimum of 8 participants. We take a £50 deposit on booking. This is non-refundable but you can change the date with 14 days notice. The deposit will then be deducted from what you pay on the day of the Party. Email us if you have a bigger group size, want it outside our opening hours, need a longer time or want more spectators. They also have the option of having a party plate with the birthday childs handprint in the middle with all their friends thumb prints on the outside. Arts & Craft Workshops: Pro Gallery ARTS & CRAFT WORKSHOPS We run kids & adults workshops As well as our usual offerings: pottery painting , foam clay , build a bear and baby prints, where you can book a session to suit, we also, from time to time, run arts and crafts kids and adult workshops and events at Crafty Monkey. ​ Our kids workshops are great fun and are usually run in the school holidays. Simply book up the workshop, drop off your children and we will keep them entertained for the duration of the workshop. ​ Our adult arts and crafts workshops are for all abilities and are great for people who enjoy arts and crafts and want to learn something new. BUILD A BEAR Build a Bear with our make your own teddy bear workshop! Come and make your own teddy bear to adopt. In fact we don't stop at teddy bears but have a wide variety of super cute animals be it a cat, dog, bunny, unicorn, dinosaur, zebra...the list goes on! ​ Simply choose an animal skin and bring your new furry friend to life by filling it up with our magic food (stuffing). Next you get to make a wish on a wish star or heart before designing your animal their very own t-shirt using fabric pens. Now comes the serious stuff...before we can let you skip off into the sunset to have lots of adventures, you need to fill out the adoption certificate and promise to love and look after your new best furry friend. ​ Our animals are waiting for a loving home so book your build a bear experience today! ​ It's a great treat for your young ones and our Teddy Bear Making Parties are a fun way to celebrate your child's birthday! They are particularly popular for 3 to 10 year olds but any age over 3 can do it! ​ Parties can be held in our studio or we can make up a take away party kit for you to have the party at home or at a venue of your choice. PETS We are a nation of animal lovers, evident by the amount of pottery cats, dogs and animals that we see painted in our studio. Our pet bowls are big sellers too and we've seen many a pet portrait painted onto a piece of pottery. ​ But it doesn't stop there, we've also done our fair share of dog prints on pottery, in clay as imprints and as outprints, not forgetting a paw print in silver jewellery or on a leather key fob! Let's face it we LOVE our pets and it's not only baby hand and footprints that look cute but our pets paw prints make special keepsakes too! ​ So book to come in and paint one of our pottery items or if you wanted to bring your pet in then call us to arrange.
