  • Pet Gifts

PETS We are a nation of animal lovers, evident by the amount of pottery cats, dogs and animals that we see painted in our studio. Our pet bowls are big sellers too and we've seen many a pet portrait painted onto a piece of pottery. But it doesn't stop there, we've also done our fair share of dog prints on pottery, in clay as imprints and as outprints, not forgetting a paw print in silver jewellery or on a leather key fob! Let's face it we LOVE our pets and it's not only baby hand and footprints that look cute but our pets paw prints make special keepsakes too! So book to come in and paint one of our pottery items or if you wanted to bring your pet in then call us to arrange. • Pottery Painting, Baby Prints, Build a Bear and Craft Studio in St. Neots

3D Baby Casting We are now offering beautiful 3D castings of your baby's tiny hands and feet. Our 3D casts pick up high levels of detail, meaning you'll be able to see all of their little lines and creases. All casts come framed with an engraved name plaque. Price for hand and foot in 10x12" Frame - £150 We have a broad range of frames and the casts can be done in a colour of your choice. Book your Session Our casting can be done from Age 0 and we currently have a maximum age of 24 months. The casting process is completely safe and the materials used are designed specifically for use on skin. The process requires us to hold your baby's hand/foot in a material called alginate which starts off as a liquid and sets within a couple of minutes to a rubber-like consistency. The set alginate is soft so baby's hand/foot can be gently removed and is also made from natural ingredients. Once the alginate mould is made we complete the casting, decorating and framing process which can take about 5 weeks as the casts have to dry fully before decorating. We then email to let you know your beautiful casts are ready to collect!

  • Baby Imprints & Outprints | Www.craftymonkeypotterypainting.com

Baby Imprints & Outprints: Service Imprints & Outprints Capture those tiny hands and feet! Our very popular baby print clay impressions (imprints) and plaster outprints are the perfect way to capture those tiny fingers and toes while they are still so small. We can also do dog pawprints too! They make timeless keepsakes to treasure! We can capture clay impressions or 2D plaster outprints of hand or foot prints at any age but it will depend on the size of the hands and feet as to the number of prints that will fit on a piece. Both Imprints and Outprints require us to press your baby or child's hand and/or foot into our soft clay which captures the lines and creases beautifully. This process is completely safe and just takes a couple of minutes to get the prints but we will need time for you to choose the colours you want etc. It's a good idea to look at our gallery below to see the different colours. For imprints look on the Monkey Colour board where you can pick from the 25 colours. For outprints you need to decide if you want a white or black background and then a colour - we have a large range of metallic colours to choose from in store. Please note: we no longer write the baby/child's name directly onto the piece itself. Framed Imprints and Outprin ts now come with an engraved plaque. The only time we will write directly onto the piece itself is if you have ordered unframed Imprints. For Imprints we need to leave the clay to dry naturally and evenly over time before firing, then decorating. Once decorated we then need to glaze and firing again. For 2D casting outprints we pour plaster of Paris into the mould we make from the clay impression, again this needs time to dry completely before we can hand paint and finish it off. Once complete we mount the Imprint or Outprint and put it in a box frame (unless you want an unframed imprint) and will get in touch to say they are ready. Expect the whole process to take 4 - 5 weeks but in busy periods such as the lead up to Christmas it can take longer. Price Framed Imprint/Outprint £75 Unframed Imprint £55 Book a Session Baby Imprints & Outprints: Pro Gallery
