Crafty Monkey hit the road for a crafternoon (afternoon tea and pottery painting experience) hosted at Sawtry Tea Room, and it was a delightful affair! Nestled on the high street of Sawtry, the tea room provided a lovely setting for an afternoon filled with creativity, laughter, and, of course, plenty of tea.
Guests feasted on an array of sandwiches, cakes, and other delightful treats plucked from tiered trays and cake stands. Vintage crockery adorned the tables, adding an elegant touch to the ambiance and setting the stage for a special experience.
The atmosphere buzzed with excitement as the guests came together, cups of tea in hand to spend some quality time together and embark in some mindfulness and creativity.
From delicate flowers on jugs to geometric designs on mugs, each participant poured their heart and soul into their creations. Smiles were abundant and there was plenty of chatter over the delicacies but you could hear a pin drop whilst the concentration on painting was happening.
The afternoon was wonderful and left us with a feeling of ‘our glass is full’. At the end we all got to see what each other had been working on and it’s amazing to see how each person brings their own unique perspective and creativity to the table.
As the afternoon came to a close, we bid farewell to Sawtry Tea Room with full hearts and full bellies. Thankyou to everyone who joined us for this special event and helped make it a lovely experience.
