I took 20 reception children there to paint an egg cup, which is linked to our topic area of Easter. It was such a lovely morning, extremely chilled and relaxed. The owner of the workshop took the class and was fantastic with them, very friendly, kind and understanding that they were only 4 and 5 year olds. She taught them a few pottery rules and the children listened intently. The children all painted an Easter egg cup with no help and they really had a lovely time. When we left they were very excited by what they had done and are looking forward to seeing the final piece once it has been in the kiln. We keep our baubles out all year around but our Christmas themed pottery usually comes out the first week of September and packed back away at the beginning of January. How to Make a Botanical Pot Our Botanical Planter or lantern clay project is perfect for nature lovers and plant parents who want a vessel as beautiful as the succulants inside it or to pop a tealight in to bring a warm glow into your home. Move over mass-produced plastic, this session is all about crafting a textured, earthy vessel to display in your home. You'll be taught the slab-building technique and given step-by-step instructions to build the foundation of your planter. Once your slab of clay has been rolled out, it's time for the botanical magic.
